Oil Prices

Oil prices are heading for declines of as much as 10 percent this month, with a supply glut showing no signs of easing and a firmer U.S. dollar making greenback-denominated contracts more expensive for holders of other currencies.

US Crude

West Texas Intermediate (WTI) futures, the US crude benchmark, fell 50 cents, or 1.16 percent, to USD 42.54 per barrel. They are up 5.3 percent so far this week, but have plunged 8.7 percent since the beginning of the month.

Rupee Opene

The Indian rupee has opened marginally lower at 66.35 per dollar on Thursday against 66.32 a dollar in previous trading session (Tuesday).

The USD-INR pair is expected to trade today in a range of 66.25-66.50/dollar.

Oil Prices

Oil prices rebounded after the US Energy Information Administration said crude stocks across the country rose 961,000 barrels last week. A preliminary inventory report by industry group American Petroleum Institute had anticipated a 2.6-million barrel rise while a Reuters poll of analysts forecast a 1.2 million build.

Oil Prices

Oil prices rose on Tuesday as tensions in the Middle East escalated following the downing of a Russian-made fighter jet near the Syrian-Turkish border and a weaker U.S. dollar provided incentive for investors to buy more oil.

U.S. crude futures were off earlier highs but still up 0.5 percent at $41.95 per barrel, up from a three-month low of $38.99 hit on Friday. Brent added 0.5 percent to $45.03

MCX SILVER December contract was trading at Rs 35437 down Rs 63, or 0.18 percent. The SILVER rate touched an intraday high of Rs 35532 and an intraday low of Rs 35382. So far 3104 contracts have been traded. Silver prices have moved down Rs 3683, or 9.41 percent in the December series so far.
