The US markets ended in positive territory, with the S&P 500 finishing higher for a fourth-straight session, after some encouraging comments by ECB President Mario Draghi and as investors looked ahead to the monthly government jobs report. The CBOE volatility index closed below 15.
Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.6% or 80.75 points at 13575.36. Nasdaq Composite gained 0.45% or 14.23 points at 3149.46. Standard & Poor’s 500 added 0.72% or 10.41 points at 1461.4.
