U.S.MARKET UPDATE

US markets bounced off their worst levels, but still finished slightly lower amid ongoing concerns about the Federal Reserve’s plans to scale back its bond-buying program. The CBOE volatility index ended above 16.
The Dow Jones industrial average fell 42.55 points to close at 14,932.41. The Standard & Poor’s 500 Index lost just 0.88 of a point to end at 1,614.08. The Nasdaq Composite Index declined 1.09 points to finish at 3,433.40.
