The dollar was down 0.5 percent at 94.93, off the session
low of 94.43 but retreating from a high of 95.80 yen set in early Asian
trading. The dollar fell to a 10-week low of 93.75 overnight, bringing it down
about 8 percent from last month's 4-1/2-year peak of 103.74 yen.
